So I may have had a little obsession with the latest season of master-chef. One of my favourite characters on the show was Dani. Simon and I came to think of her as the burger queen, everything she seemed to make for a while was some form of burger, and boy do we love burgers. In the health food challenge she made a mushroom burger and I asked myself Why has no one tried this before, I'm not sure if you watched it but it wasn't a mushroom burger with the mushy for the patty, the mushy's were the buns! Genius I say! Even though the judges said it was a little bland, I thought it was a brilliant idea and yes I had to try it. Of course there was a significant amount of variation in our recipe, since we weren't doing the whole low sodium or whatever it was and it was yum so delicious!
Ingredients included home made polenta stakes, beetroot relish, bacon, egg, home made yogurt mayo dressing... it was soooo goood, and i guess not as bad for you as a regular burger?! Have you tried any similar recipes? Please share...
